It’s All About Style

Countless home owners ask me if I have furniture that will suit the style of their home – Victorian, Hamptons, modern, shabby chic, classy, country.

The trick to reusing stock I have for home styling is all about being open minded. When I visit a home the first thing I do is see what features the home has, and what existing furniture can be reused to fit within the home style.

Clients often label their style, but this may not be accurate. This is why it is best to get to know the home and client to make sure you are making the best stock decisions.

Once the style or image has been established, it’s start to begin thinking differently – this is where looking for style similarities start

  • Scanandivan and beach homes are both clean timber lines with bright colours
  • Country and industrial both surround timber and metal
  • Modern and Hamptons are both light and airy
